The 2007 half-year report of China's consumer electronics giant TCL Group showed that its 57-year-old president Li Dongsheng transferred about 20 percent of his 122 million shares, valued at 120 million yuan (US$19 million), to his ex-wife Hong Yanfen, making her one of the ten major stockholders of the company. Little is known about his ex-wife, but the rich businessmen, still with a worth of 615 million yuan (US$98 million) in that year after the "non-transactional transfer", married Wei Xue, then managing director of PRAP China Public Relations, in 2006, three years after they got to know each other at an entrepreneur forum hosted by Wei. Their wedding was dubbed the most influential in the Chinese business circle that year.
