Day 5: Wuzhizhou Island 蜈支洲島

Located in Haitang Bay north of Sanya, Wuzhizhou Island is known as the "first bay under the sun." The ocean around the island is the best place for diving in China – the sea is so clear that visibility in the water is as high as 27 meters.

Transport: There is no direct bus available from Sanya’s city center to Wuzhizhou Wharf, so the best options are to take a taxi or rent your own car. It costs about CNY50 for a one-way trip and CNY150-CNY200 for a round trip. Ferries to the island run every 20 minutes from 7:40 am to 6:00 pm.
