# "Together for a Shared Future" unveiled as Beijing 2022 official motto

On Sept. 17, the BOCOG announced the official motto of the 2022 Winter Games. "Together for a Shared Future" stood out from 79 proposals submitted since May 2020 and represents China's sincere invitation to the rest of the world.

According to the BOCOG, "Together" depicts how mankind stays strong in the face of adversity and points to solutions to overcome those difficulties and create a better future. Meanwhile, "For a shared future" embodies a vision for a better life and conveys hope and confidence.
