A spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic People' s Republic of Korea (DPRK) Tuesday said the DPRK would like to join in the six-party talks on nuclear disarmament unconditionally and wouldn' t reject to discuss the issue of uranium enrichment in the talks, the official news agency KCNA reported.

The spokesman said the DPRK side exchanged opinion deeply with the visiting Aleksei Borodavkin, vice-foreign minister of Russia and chief representative of Russia on six-party talks, on bilateral relations, situation of the area and restoring the six-party talks.

According to the KCNA, the Russian side said the six-party talks should be restored as soon as possible, calling on the DPRK to take constructive measures including to temporarily halt nuclear experiment and test of ballistic missiles.

The Russian side expressed concern over the increasing tension on the Korean Peninsula and stressed the special prospect of the tripartite economic cooperation projects including the laying of railways, gas pipeline and a transmission line linking Russia with the north and the south of Korea.

The DPRK would like to discus the issues put forward by Russia in the process of fulfilling the "Joint Statement of September 19" aimed at realizing denuclearization on the Korean Peninsula under the principle of simultaneous action, the spokesman said.

Aleksei Borodavkin arrived in Pyongyang on March 11 and left on March 14. During his visit, DPRK Foreign Minister Pak Ui Chun met him.
