Another 115 Thai workers have returned back to Bangkok from Libya and called on the government to help them find jobs and to pay them compensation in the meantime, media report on Tuesday.

Sumeth Mahosot, deputy director-general of the Labor Ministry's Department of Employment, said the first 67 workers arrived at the airport on flights landing at 6:30 a.m. and 6:50 a.m. local time and 48 others on two separate flights at about 9:45 a.m. local time.

Sumeth said another seven workers were scheduled to land back in Thailand at 2:45 p.m. local time on Tuesday.

The workers have called on the government to provide them with employment and want help from the Labour Ministry's Workers' Compensation Fund while they are out of work.

They also want the government to arrange for the exchange of Libyan dinar to baht, as they left the violence-torn North African country in a hurry and could not exchange their Libyan currency.

The first group of 35 Thai labors arrived at Bangkok's international Suvarnabhumi Airport on Saturday.
