Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad reiterated on Tuesday that the country will not negotiate over its inalienable nuclear rights in the upcoming talks with the six world powers, the semi-official Fars news agency reported.

"The Iranian nation will not allow anyone to retreat even for an iota from its principle rights in talks," Ahmadinejad said addressing a crowd in northern Mazandaran province.

Ahmadinejad urged the five UN Security Council permanent members and Germany (G5+1) to give up their wrong attitude and respect the rights of the Iran in a bid to reach understanding and agreement on cooperation in different areas at the international level.

He said that the approval of four rounds of sanctions against Iran at the UN Security Council will endanger the interests of their sponsors, according to Fars.

The European Unoin (EU)'s foreign affairs chief Catherine Ashton is scheduled to meet with Iran's nuclear negotiator Saeed Jalili in Geneva, Switzerland, on Dec. 6-7 in an effort to solve Iran's nuclear issue, a spokesman for Ashton said in Brussels Tuesday.

"We have now received a formal response from the Iranian authorities confirming that Dr. Jalili has agreed to Catherine Ashton's proposal to meet in Geneva," the spokesman said.

The EU hopes all issues will be on the table, including Tehran's disputed nuclear program, but the Iranian president has repeatedly said that its nuclear program will not be up for negotiation and argued Iran is enriching uranium for peaceful purpose.

The December meeting will be the first high-level discussions between the two sides since October 2009.
