Want to find a reason to party this weekend? Well, July 17th, World Emoji Day falls on Sunday. Go and celebrate with these innocent--and not so innocent -looking faces.

Emoji is becoming a universal language

Emojis are becoming a universal language of our generation. People tend to use these expressive faces when words fail them, or as a short cut. Emojis can express almost everything we want to say, or sometimes more.

To mark the day, Twitter Canada has released an infographic that details the 10 most used emojis. "The face with tears of joy" takes the crown. And equality has come to the World of Emoji. A whole new cast of characters have been added, with 11 new professions in both genders and skin tones.

World Emoji Day was created to promote the use of Emojis and to spread the enjoyment that they bring to us and all of those around us. Sometimes silly, but usually fun, Emojis are gradually changing the way people interact on-line.
