Shane Battier is back once again this summer, but this time, he does so as an NBA champion.

The Miami Heat forward was joined by Houston Rockets forward Patrick Patterson as they began their promotional summer tour around China here in Beijing on Thursday.

In his 12th NBA season, Battier finally won his first NBA title after joining the Heat prior to the start of last year. Battier is expected to share his experiences during his tour around the country and while he was here in the Capital he also dropped in on the Champions College, a developmental basketball school for teenagers, helping to instruct the students in attendance.

Meanwhile, to reward the 15 3-pointers Battier made in the Finals, 3,000 pair of basketball shoes have been donated by his sponsor to kids in impoverished regions of China. Battier continues his tour in Shenyang while Patterson visits Henan later this week.
