The British Fashion elite were celebrated at the annual British Fashion Awards in London Monday. The star studded ceremony was hosted by the British Fashion Council and celebrates excellence achieved in the industry this year.

Victoria Beckham was awarded the "Designer Brand" award. Still a relatively young label, it has attracted much attention over its slick colorful designs and favored by many of the Beckham's Hollywood friends.

Stella McCartney received the "Red Carpet" award, which recognizes the choice of the celebrities.

The most prestigious award of "Designer of the Year" went to Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen.

Judges felt that the designer had managed to add her own twist to the already esteemed brand.
