The mainland and Taiwan will officially open up their tourism offices in Taipei and Beijing in May. The mainland's Taipei office will begin operations on May 7th. While Taiwan's Beijing Tourism office will start on May 4th. Industry insiders say the number of cross-strait passengers has been increasing steadily since 1987. It's expected the establishment of the two tourism offices will further boost the cross-strait travel market.
