Philippines police named 161 suspects involved in last month's massacre in the country's Maguindanao province. The suspects are expected to face murder and rebellion charges.

100 of the 161 suspects are militiamen. The remainder are members of local clans, police, or local officials. Witnesses identified Andal Ampatuan Jr. leading the group, who stopped his rival's convoy that included 30 journalists and their staff in the southern province of Maguindanao. Investigators were also told Ampatuan shot several victims in Ampatuan township, a place named after his powerful family.

A group of journalists staged a rally in the streets of Manila protesting the government's leniency with some of the suspects.
