A heat wave has blasted provinces across China with temperatures exceeding 40 degrees Celsius, and local authorities have issued warnings in response.
The temperature has reached over 38 degrees in the capital city of Beijing. This prompted local authorities to repeat heat warnings on Wednesday.
As more than 1，300 million Watts of electricity were used within three days, the city implemented 7 measures to ensure the safety of the electricity grid throughout the summer.
Relevant departments have asked buses with air conditioners to keep interior temperatures cool, and buses without A.C. were asked to provide fans to their passengers.
A Beijing passenger said, "Although the weather is hot, the service is good."
In Jining City in east China's Shandong province, fountains seem to be a must for residents trying to beat the heat.
