Meanwhile, April the 5th marked the 100th anniversary of Austrian conductor Herbert Von Karajan's birthday. A series of exhibitions and concerts were held in Vienna, Austria, to commemorate the talented artist. Earlier, Austria had announced that 2008 was - "The Year of Karajen". Herbert Von Karajan is still regarded as one of the most renowned 20th century, orchestra and opera conductors. One of the three principal proteges of Karajan is prestigious Japanese conductor, Seiji Ozawa.
