China has officially established its delegation for the upcoming Beijing Olympic Games. The announcement was made on Friday morning. The delegation consists of 1,099 members.
There are 639 athletes. Three quarters of these competitors are taking part in the Olympics for the first time. The average age is 24.
The Chinese athletes will compete in all of 28 Olympic sports. They will represent the largest Chinese delegation in the history of the Olympic Games.
