Qingdao-made intercity trains that feature both high speed and more convenience have started trial operation on a line in east China's Zhejiang Province.
The electric multiple unit (EMU) train -- CRH6F train -- with a speed of 160 km an hour, is composed of eight cars, has a maximum capacity of 2,000 passengers and could cope with large passenger transport demand and swift boarding.
CRRC Qingdao Sifang Company has delivered two such trains to the 48.7-km line linking the cities of Ningbo and Yuyao in Zhejiang.
