Futian Shangri-La, Shenzhen, a new five-star, USD200 million, flagship Shangri-La hotel, has opened in the heart of Futian, Shenzhen's business district.
The new hotel, which adds a 40-storey luxury building to the city's skyline, offers 498 guestrooms, 50 suites and 53 serviced apartments, as well as two ballrooms, an auditorium, function rooms, a health club, spa facilities, a business centre, wireless Internet access that is available in all public areas, including the lobby, and a wide range of restaurants and bars.
A typical guestroom at Futian Shangri-La, Shenzhen measures an average of 45 square meters. Among the facilities available are an iPod dock, a 37-inch LCD television in the room with a 15-inch version in the bathroom, wired and wireless Internet connectivity, and DVD and CD players. The hotel's suites measure between 96 and 288 square meters. The living area has comfortable seating, a wall-mounted 40-inch LCD television and DVD player with a stereo sound system. The spacious bathroom has a separate toilet and bidet, a whirlpool bath, two hand basins and a 15-inch LCD television.
In addition to the guestrooms, Futian Shangri-La, Shenzhen has 53 serviced apartments located on levels six to 11 with a separate entrance, entrance lobby and lifts. The apartments are available in one, two and three-bedroom versions.
