The Shanghai World Expo, is marking the Japan National Pavilion Day.

Dubbed the Purple Silkworm Island, the pavilion is covered with solar cells and other environmentally friendly technology. A green approach enables the pavilion to be an eco-friendly Breathing Organism.

Assisted by scene representation and imaging technology, the structure showcases the country's vision of the future of urban living in 2020. It also displays the country's dynamic modern cities, the Japanese lifestyle of living with nature and the cultural origins of Japan and China.
