China will showcase its culture to the Turkish in October, China's State Council Information Office said Tuesday.

The "Experience China in Turkey" program will include trade forums, ethnic songs and dances, film weeks and food festivals, said a statement from the office.

Chinese and Turkish reporters would conduct exchange visits during the event.

The programs, to be held in Ancyra, Istanbul and Kayseri, would demonstrate Chinese goodwill to Turkey and enable both peoples to have face-to-face communication, the statement said.

The cultural, diplomatic and tourist departments of the two countries would participate in the event.

Since 1999, China has held the "Experience China" event in Germany, the United States, Russia and other countries to promote cultural exchanges.
