Day 3: Xiapu （霞浦）

Known as China's most charming fishing village, Xiapu is located in northeast Fujian province. Along its tiger-striped beaches, bamboo structures and poles, buoys and fishing vessels provide human counterpoints to the area's natural beauty.

Transport: Xiapu County isn't far from the big cities of Fuzhou, Xiamen, Wenzhou and Shanghai, and can be accessed by both coach and train.
