Award-winning Japanese architect Tadao Ando will design Sanys's Peninsula Art Museum and Peninsula Concert Hall, which will become landmark architectures of the tropical island.

Ando said the design work will be finished by the end of 2010, and if things progress smoothly, the construction should be finished in two to three years.

The museum and concert hall will be on the eastern coast of Luhuitou Peninsula. The main body of Peninsula Concert Hall will be on land, while the Peninsula Art Museum will be in an artificial pool that will extend to the sea. They will be connected by a corridor through the artificial pool.
