8. Hangzhou city in east China's Zhejiang province
Hangzhou went up 18 ranking positions and stayed at 93rd in the GFCI 31 with a rating score of 553. Once known as the heartland of China's e-commerce sector, the city is now ramping up efforts on the sci-tech side to boost high-quality green development and develop the fintech industry.
