# Quantum walks on superconducting processor

In May 2021, a 62-qubit programmable superconducting quantum processor called "Zuchognzhi" achieved two-dimensional programmable quantum walks. The quantum computer prototype was built by a research team led by renowned Chinese quantum physicist Pan Jianwei and Zhu Xiaobo.

The research results have paved the way for China to realize "quantum supremacy," which indicates an overwhelming quantum computational speedup.
