The "Hyundai Elantra Yue Dong", a redesigned Elantra, was launched by Beijing Hyundai for the Chinese market with an updated exterior. The engine lineup includes 1.6- Gamma and 2.0-liter Beta II gasoline inline-four engines, and a 1.6-liter turbodiesel inline-four. All engines feature improved fuel economy over previous versions. Carrying a price tag between 108,800-119,800 yuan ($ 16,247-18,088), Beijing Hyundai sold 233,300 units of the model.
