Carsten Jancker, former German national team forward and Bayern Munich striker will join Shanghai football club Shenhua, reported top Chinese Internet portal sina.com Wednesday.

Jancker was a starting striker for Bayern Munich during the German League games, and helped the team to win Germany League title in 1999, 2000 and 2001.

Jancker will soon be competing with Shenhua in both the China Super League and AFC Champions League.

Despite the fact Jancker was not listed in the roster of Germany national team, the 32-year-old, 193 cm footballer has enjoyed a lengthy career playing at the international level.
