In a game dominated by South Korea, 19-year-old ice hockey player Peng Mo of the Chinese Taipei scored his team's first goal at the Harbin Asian Winter Games on Wednesday.

With 65 shots on goal, South Korea overwhelmed the Chinese Taipei 14-1. Despite a painful loss, Peng's goal still ignited the passion of the crowd in the venue.

After South Korea celebrated their goal to extend the lead 11-0 with just 22 seconds into the third period, Peng cut through the defense and beat the South Korean goalkeeper for scoring.

The unexpected strike left the goalkeeper stunned, while players of the Chinese Taipei celebrated as if they won the match. The goal was not only the first for the Chinese Taipei in this tournament, but also a milestone for Peng, the team's youngest player.

Born in October 2005, Peng became a fan of ice hockey at the age of six. With limited access to training facilities and the challenge of balancing his studies with ice hockey, he overcame many obstacles to reach the international stage.

As a university freshman majoring in electronic engineering, Peng practiced in spare time to prepare for the Asian Winter Games, who trained two or three times a week during the winter vacation, with each lasting around 75 minutes.

"I'm happy to have the opportunity to score against a dominant team like South Korea," Peng said with pride. "It is rare to meet them on the court."

Throughout the match, the audience cheered for every successful attack and defense by the Chinese Taipei, with support and encouragement covering every corner of the arena.

"It's unexpected to have so many people cheering for us," Peng added. "Thank you all for being here. It's a fantastic experience for me, and I will keep doing my best and enjoy the Games."
