A welcome ceremony has been held at London’s Olympic village to welcome Chinese athletes.

The ceremony began with excellent theatrical performances. An actor, dressed as Queen Elizabeth, greeted athletes from all over the world and expressed the hope Chinese athletes would perform well.

The Deputy Village Head addressed the ceremony before raising the Olympic flag and China’s national flag. The Chinese Olympic chief brought chinaware as a gift to the Olympic village, to mark sportsmanship of the Olympic Games and friendship between two countries.
