Asia Pacific's first consolidated professional tournament pathway for elite golfers - today announced the appointment of Rob Neal as its new Chief Business Officer. Neal brings with him extensive business experience in tournament golf development, including policy development, tournament sponsorship and international contract negotiations.

Currently an Executive Director at the Tournament Golf Foundation (TGF) in the United States, Neal is also Chairman of the LPGA Tournament Owners Association Board of Directors. He was a member of the LPGA staff as Vice President of Tournament Business Affairs from 1999, right up till 2006 when he joined TGF.

Prior to joining the LPGA, Neal served as Executive Director of the LPGA’s Tournament Sponsors Association (now know as the Tournament Owner’s Association) from 1994-99. In this position, he was responsible for implementing and participating in the development of policies for the association comprised of LPGA tournaments.

Before he made his foray into the world of golf, Neal maintained a law practice in Atlanta, where his focus was on business, sports and entertainment law.

"We are extremely fortunate to have Rob join OneAsia - Rob brings with him not just a wealth of experience in business development and international relations, but also the recognition and respect of all his peers in the golf industry," said Mr Sang Y Chun, Chairman & Commissioner of OneAsia.

"His proven track record will no doubt assist in further developing our elite platform, as potential sponsors, golf bodies, and players themselves will recognise his expertise and want to seek him out at OneAsia."

Mr. Neal said, "Asia is clearly becoming the world’s fastest growing region for both golf and business, and OneAsia has already established a solid foundation of quality tournaments to showcase the tremendously talented players emerging from Asia.

"I am looking forward to assisting in the early stages of OneAsia's development and further expanding the potential of the Asian market."

Since it was launched last year, OneAsia’s tournament schedule has doubled in size, offering a multitude of full-field playing opportunities to leading players across the region.
