Fomer England playmaker David Beckham will not be punished for his reaction to a fan who heckled him about allegations he slept with prostitutes, a league officials said in Carson, California on Wednesday.

Dan Courtemanche, MLS' executive vice president of communications, said the league has reviewed all of the matches from this past weekend and "no further action will be taken regarding the Red Bulls at Galaxy match."

"In Touch" magazine has published the allegations that he had sex with prostitutes, and Beckham filed a lawsuit for libel and slander Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court against the magazine. He was also suing prostitute Irma Nici and several others over claims in the magazine that he had had sex with her.

A fan shouted "stop with the prostitutes" from underneath the stands at The Home Depot Center as Beckham walked to the dressing room following Friday night's 2-0 loss to the New York Red Bulls, video posted on the website of the English tabloid News Of The World showed.

A shirtless Beckham then turned around and walked toward the fan, asking him, "Do you want to say it again? Want to say it again? You got a Galaxy shirt on. You got a Galaxy shirt on."

The former English soccer captain then walked away, saying, "Say it to my face."

Earlier on Sunday, the Galaxy has also decided that no action would be taken against the footballer.
