Corinthians striker Ronaldo revealed on Monday his plans for retirement. The player recently signed a contract with an English advertisement group WPP in order to create his own sports marketing company.

As the president, Ronaldo will be in charge of twelve other executives. The company will be called 9INE and is expected to be up and running in early October. Part of Ronaldo's responsibilities will be to manage the career of young and talented athletes.

"The market of buying and selling players is huge. Look at the case of Neymar. The 18-year-old was originally purchased by Santos for 50,000 US dollars and the club recently rejected an offer for 40 million euros to sign the player," Ronaldo said.

Ronaldo also expressed his desire to take advantage of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil in order to propel his agency. He stated that his objective is to compete and dominate the sporting market. Ronaldo believes that his company will be able to make an estimated 20 million U.S. dollars during the 2014 World Cup alone.

Ronaldo has accumulated an estimated fortune of more than 210 million U.S. dollars during his career. With Corinthians, the player receives an estimated 7 million U.S. dollars per year. Ronaldo previously stated that he is planning on retiring at the end of the 2010 season unless his team is able to secure a spot in the 2011 Libertadores Cup.
