Russia's veteran diver Julia Pakhalina stunned Chinese favorites Wu Minxia and Wang Han to win the women's one-meter springboard event at the FINA world championships?Sunday.
Pakhalina, the bronze medallist at the Melbourne worlds two years ago, led from start to finish to step on the top podium with a total 325.05 points.
Wu and Wang finished second and third respectively.
The women's 10-meter synchronised final started later on Sunday.
