Hu Wugong began his career as a photographer in 1969. He is a professor at Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology and president of Shanxi Photographers Association. Hu's photo "When Flood Hit" was awarded "best news photo" in China. He has held a series of photography exhibitions all over China and was named "outstanding contributor" by China Photographers Association in 2006.
