Editor's note: China has begun allowing pets on select high-speed trains between Beijing and Shanghai, railway authorities announced this week. The service is currently being tested on 10 trains stopping at five stations along the route — Beijing South, Jinan West, Nanjing South, Shanghai Hongqiao and Hangzhou East.
