An acrobatic performer fell during a half-time show of a men's basketball match here on Sunday and was sent to hospital.
Officials of the Wukesong Stadium, which hosts the basketball competitions of the Olympic Games, said the injured performer is a Frenchman. His identity is still not available.
He fell as he was doing a spectacular dunking show, injuring his neck or back, officials said.
A staff who accompanied the performer to the hospital told Xinhua over the phone that the injured person was in a stable condition.
