The death of Al Qaeda head Osama bin Laden, is expected to reduce the movement of global terror organizations, including that in Indonesia, an Indonesian senior official said on Monday.

"If that is true, it would bring positive impact. We expect that it would reduce movements organized by radical groups since their main figure had died," Ansyaad Mbai, head of Indonesian government's agency tasked to curb terror acts BNPT said as quoted by the detik.com.

Reports said that Osama died on Monday morning during a U.S.- organized military siege on a house in Pakistan. The body of Osama is now being kept by US authority. President Barrack Obama had confirmed the death of Osama in the military operation.

Osama was accused of responsible on the terror acts conducted in the United States soil on September 11, 2011 that collapsed the World Trade Center (WTC) twin tower and part of Pentagon building that claimed thousands of American lives. Bin Laden was declared the most wanted person by the U.S. government since then.
