A blast went off in northwestern Pakistan's Nowshera city on Friday and at least six persons were killed, the private TV channel DAWN NEWS reported.
A suicide bomber rammed his explosive-laden vehicle into an army supply depot mosque, killing six people and injuring 90 others, according to the DAWN NEWS.
The blast occurred after Friday prayers. The roof of the mosque has collapsed in the explosion.
The injured have been rushed to hospitals for treatment. Police have cordoned off the area.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack but local press reports said it was probably a backlash of the Taliban.
Security forces launched a large-scale operation against Taliban militants in some parts of North West Frontier Province late April. More than 1,400 militants have been killed in the military operation which is still going on.
Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani have strongly condemned the blast.
A high-level meeting was also convened at the President's House to review the security situation in the country after the blast in Nowshera and Lahore on Friday, according to the DAWN NEWS.
