The total number of confirmed A/H1N1 flu cases in Canada has risen to 921, including one death, according to the latest figures released Monday by the Public Health Agency of Canada.

Compared with the figure Friday, 116 new cases have been added during the past three days. Ontario reported 58 new cases, bringing the total to 352, the most among the nine provinces and one territory that have reported infections.

Quebec added 42 new cases, bringing the total to 185. The province of British Columbia's number stands at 115, the third most among the provinces.

Earlier Monday, Ontario reported one case of death related to the new flu, which is the second such death in the country. That number will be reflected in its next update Wednesday, the agency said in a note.

As of Sunday, the average age reported is 22 years or younger with median age at 17 years. The youngest patient is one year old and the oldest 86, the agency said.

To date, 29 hospitalizations have been reported, it said.
