A bird rests on a bamboo pole in a water-reclaimed area around Baiyangdian Lake in northern China's Hebei Province, April 28, 2008. Baiyangdian Lake, located 150km south of Beijing, has seen an improvement in the environment due to fresh water brought in from the Yellow River in January. Some 60 million cubic meters of water was diverted into the lake to ensure Beijing's water supply during the Olympics and improve the capital's ecological environment.
