Hong Kong Disneyland said Tuesday that the tickets for the Hong Kong Disneyland Charity Day of Sept. 4 were sold out within hours.
The theme park said the tickets for the Charity Day were made available for purchase online at 6 a.m. Tuesday and were sold out at around 9 a.m. All the tickets proceeds for the day will be donated to the Community Chest of Hong Kong. The design of the tickets for the Charity Day is special and different from that of the formal opening.
Hong Kong Disneyland Group Managing Director Don Robinson said that the response from the public to the tickets has been overwhelming and demonstrates tremendous support for both the local community and for Hong Kong Disneyland.
The theme park also announced the tickets for Hong Kong Disneyland's grand opening day and the first 90 days after its opening can be purchased online after midnight on July 1.
