Javier Solana, secretary general of the Council of the European Union (EU), arrived in Beijing Tuesday morning on a two-day official visit to China.
Solana, also the high representative for the EU Common Foreign and Security Policy, is invited by Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing.
