A construction plan on Shanghai's Pujiang township along the Huangpu River has been released so as to solicit public opinions on urban planning, a local township source said Monday.
The plan released on Friday was drawn up by the Italy-based Garigauti Company, a world-renowned designing firm who had won the tender earlier, showed that the architecture style of the township, the largest in Shanghai, will be Italian in flavor, the source noted.
Construction projects in the central area of Pujiang will be completed by September while the entire project, covering a land area of 102.01 sq km, will take about 10 years to build at the cost of some five billion yuan (approximately US$602.41 million).
An exhibition showing the company's designs has been on display since April 18. Citizens and visitors alike are encouraged to express their views on the construction plan.
