Xiong Guangkai, deputy chief of the General Staff of the People's Liberation Army of China, left Beijing Thursday to attend the 39th Munich Conference on Security Policy.
During the conference, Xiong will deliver a speech on the current situation and prospect of the global anti-terror efforts and exchange views with military and political leaders of other nations on international security, regional issues and issues of common concern.
Xiong participates in the event at the invitation of Horst Teltschik, president of the Munich Conference on Security Policy.
