Former secretary of the Dexing City Committee the Communist Party of China (CPC) in eastern Jiangxi province was given 11 year's jail term for receiving bribes.
The verdict was passed the Shangrao Municipal Intermediate People's Court in Jiangxi province early this week.
Wu Zuguo took a total of 284,000 yuan (about US$34,200) of bribes from subordinate officials or businessmen in the two years from 2001 to February 2003.
