Chinese Authorities will step up crackdowns on bribes involved in commercial activities like building projects, land transfer, property trade, medical purchase and sale, government procurement, and exploration and sale of resources.
He Yong, member of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and deputy secretary of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, remarked this at a workshop attended by discipline- and law-enforcing officials Monday.
He urged discipline- and law-enforcing departments to deal with complaints and tips from ordinary people, with great care, while paying attention to hot topics in media reports and information in media reports that may carry clues of bribes.
Judicial and administrative law-enforcing departments and supervisory departments should join hands in crackdowns on business-related bribes, he noted.
The Authorities launched a campaign to crack down on the kind of bribes early this year, in a bid to curb the occurrence of the crimes, win trust from the people, and provide a strong protection for a healthily-developing economy and a harmonious and stable society.
