| Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Najib Razak said on Jan. 24 that Jan. 31 was the cutoff date for accepting donations by all funds set up to help the tsunami victims in the country. The tidal wave, triggered by a massive undersea earthquake off Sumatra island in Indonesia, killed 68 people in northwestern Malaysia and more than 234,000 across Asia and Africa. |
