Promising Chinese director Lu Chuan's latest film Ke Ke Xi Li, about efforts to save the Tibetan antelope, is opening to the Chinese public this national holiday.
The movie is the first western adventure film to be shot by a Chinese director. It received good audience responses when it premiered at the Golden Rooster Award in mid-September.
The publisher says the movie that with a budget of ten million Yuan has already won US$800,000 for its overseas copyright, and is expected to earn ten million Yuan at the Chinese box office.
It is a story about saving and protecting the Tibetan antelope, also called the Chiru. Most of the cast are local Tibetan people.
Ke Ke Xi Li will be competing for audience attention during the National Holidays with blockbusters like "2046" and "New Police Story" also screening.
