The invading enemy forces are defeated on all fronts and the only chance for them to avoid more losses is to withdraw quickly, Iraqi Foreign Minister Naji Sabri said at a press briefing in Baghdad on Monday.
Facing strong fights with Iraqi people, many US and British soldiers are captured or scared and running away, and this has caused confusion among their leadership, Sabri said.
He reiterated Iraqi government's determination to inflict maximum losses on the enemy, but said the soldiers who surrender will be treated in accordance with principles of Islamic laws, Geneva Convention and human rights law.
The US-led forces waging war on Iraq are invaders and zionists after the resources of Iraq, Sabri claimed.
If they go further in the aggression, their losses will increase, get hatred from Muslims and all people around the world and their interest will be harmed, he added.
Sabri denounced that the enemy "cowardly" strikes on civilian structures, saying "they will not leave our land safe and sound."
He also called on the United Nations to stop the aggression immediately.
"The Arab popular position is excellent," he said, adding that Arab people are extremely angry over this aggression and their government should give help to Iraq.
