Weight loss and dieting have claimed another victim, with famous Taiwan singer Panda Xiong being admitted to hospital after excess dieting.
The veteran singer felt unwell on Tuesday, sweating profusely and nearly fainting on the set of CCTV's "Tonight" program.
Xiong's wife immediately sent him to hospital. According to his doctor, Xiong had unhealthily low levels of blood sugar due to excess dieting.
Xiong admitted that since making his comeback in the entertainment industry, he has gone on a strict diet in order to lose weight. He has not eaten a main meal for over a year and sometimes only eats liquid food to survive.
