Standing Committee of the NPC

The NPC has a Standing Committee as its permanent body, which is responsible to the NPC and reports on its work to the NPC. The Standing Committee is elected for the same term as the NPC.

The Standing Committee is composed of a chairperson, vice chairpersons, a secretary-general, and other members. They are elected by the NPC deputies from among themselves.

The Standing Committee has a general office that operates under the secretary-general. It also has several deputy secretary-generals, who are appointed or removed by the Standing Committee at the recommendation of the chairperson. The Standing Committee has under its authority a legislative affairs commission, a budgetary commission, and other committees set up as required.

全國人民代表大會常務(wù)委員會

全國人民代表大會常務(wù)委員會是全國人民代表大會常設(shè)機關(guān)，對全國人民代表大會負責(zé)并報告工作。全國人民代表大會常務(wù)委員會每屆任期同全國人民代表大會每屆任期相同。

全國人民代表大會常務(wù)委員會的人員組成包括：委員長，副委員長若干人，秘書長，委員若干人。常務(wù)委員會的組成人員由全國人民代表大會從代表中選出。

全國人民代表大會常務(wù)委員會設(shè)立辦公廳，在秘書長領(lǐng)導(dǎo)下工作。常務(wù)委員會設(shè)副秘書長若干人，由委員長提請常務(wù)委員會任免。常務(wù)委員會設(shè)立法制工作委員會、預(yù)算工作委員會和其他需要設(shè)立的工作委員會。
