Conservation of Marine Eco-Environment

The oceans breed life and connect the whole world. They are essential to human survival and development. The marine eco-environment provides the basic living space for marine life, and any change of the marine eco-environment may lead to changes of the entire ecosystem and biological resources.

China has a vast area of sea territory, which serves as its blue granary and a strategic space for high-quality development.

Xi Jinping has more than once talked about the goal of turning China into a strong maritime nation, and called for cherishing, understanding and managing the ocean, and including marine eco-environmental conservation in the overall plan for ocean development. He suggested paying equal attention to development and conservation and to pollution prevention and control and eco-environmental restoration, developing and utilizing marine resources in a rational, science-based way, protecting marine biodiversity, and continuing to address ocean pollution, so as to maintain the ocean's reproductive capacity, provide green, safe sea products for the people, and leave them turquoise seas, blue skies and clean beaches.

海洋生態(tài)環(huán)境與保護(hù)

海洋孕育生命、聯(lián)通世界、促進(jìn)發(fā)展，對(duì)于人類社會(huì)生存和發(fā)展具有重要意義。海洋生態(tài)環(huán)境是海洋生物生存和發(fā)展的基本條件，生態(tài)環(huán)境的任何改變都有可能導(dǎo)致生態(tài)系統(tǒng)和生物資源的變化。

中國(guó)是海洋大國(guó)，海洋是中國(guó)人民賴以生存的“第二疆土”和“藍(lán)色糧倉(cāng)”，是中國(guó)高質(zhì)量發(fā)展的戰(zhàn)略要地。中共十八大以來，習(xí)近平多次在講話中談及海洋強(qiáng)國(guó)建設(shè)，要求關(guān)心海洋、認(rèn)識(shí)海洋、經(jīng)略海洋，把海洋生態(tài)文明建設(shè)納入海洋開發(fā)總布局之中，堅(jiān)持開發(fā)和保護(hù)并重、污染防治和生態(tài)修復(fù)并舉，科學(xué)合理開發(fā)利用海洋資源，保護(hù)海洋生物多樣性，持續(xù)加強(qiáng)海洋環(huán)境污染防治，維護(hù)海洋自然再生產(chǎn)能力，讓人民群眾吃上綠色、安全、放心的海產(chǎn)品，享受到碧海藍(lán)天、潔凈沙灘。
