Improving the Wellbeing of the People Through Development

Improving the wellbeing of the people is the fundamental goal of development. Efforts must continue to expand access to childcare, education, employment, medical services, elderly care, housing, and social assistance. The poverty alleviation campaign must be intensified, to ensure that the impact of joint development is more broadly felt as everyone contributes to and gains from these efforts. It is critical in this respect to promote human development and bring prosperity to all. China will continue to implement the Peaceful China initiative, strengthen and improve social governance in an innovative manner, and promote social harmony and stability, so as to ensure enduring peace and prosperity.

在發展中保障和改善民生

增進民生福祉是發展的根本目的。當代中國共產黨人治國理政的出發點和落腳點，就是多謀民生之利、多解民生之憂，在發展中補齊民生短板、促進社會公平正義，在幼有所育、學有所教、勞有所得、病有所醫、老有所養、住有所居、弱有所扶上不斷取得新進展，深入開展脫貧攻堅，保證全體人民在共建共享發展中有更多獲得感，不斷促進人的全面發展、全體人民共同富裕。同時，通過建設平安中國，加強和創新社會治理，維護社會和諧穩定，確保國家長治久安、人民安居樂業。
